1. What subjects do you teach?

We specialise in English, Maths, Science, Chemistry, Physics and Biology .

2. How will my child benefit from tuition at Matrix?
Students at Matrix benefit in a number of ways, both academically and socially. They master the NSW Board of Studies Syllabus and share new ideas and perspectives through group discussions. They develop social skills, vital to success at university and in the work place through our L.E.A.D [Leadership Education And Development] program.
3. Who teaches the classes?

Our teachers are extraordinarily qualified. Many hold postgraduate qualifications and all have extensive classroom experience. All teachers are inspirational mentors with diverse interests which extend beyond the classroom.

4. What are the HSC results of past Matrix Education's students?

Year after year, the majority of our students achieve a UAI (ATAR) of 95+.

5. Do you teach exam skills in class?
Yes, the Matrix Learning System ensures that students learn not only the theory of the subject but also the exam skills required for their school and HSC exams. Through work booklets, quizzes and the tests in class, students become familiar with exam style questions, increasing their confidence under exam conditions.
6. Does Matrix offer support outside theory classes?
Yes, you can receive Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics support via workshops on Sundays, and English support via our writing centers on Saturdays. Make sure you speak to one of our service representative so we can make sure you receive individualized attention from our academic team.
7. How does Matrix compare with private home tuition?

Matrix Education provides group tuition and works according to the Board of studies syllabus, within a strict timeframe, ensuring students achieve the best results at school. Compared to private home tuition, Matrix provides more resources, marked homework and personalised feedback, regular quizzes and tests to cover Syllabus content in unparalleled detail. To ensure students receive one-to-one attention free writing centers (English help) and workshops (Mathematics, physics, chemistry help) are provided.

8. Does my child need to buy textbooks?
No. All course resources are provided, including a set of theory booklets and work booklets covering all work for the term.
9. How many students are there in a class?
There is a maximum of 13 students per class. This ensures that class discussion is dynamic and allows the teacher to carefully monitor each student’s progress.
10. Are there any lessons during the school holidays?

Matrix terms for Year 12 commence during the school holidays. This allows our students to learn ahead of their school peers, giving them the competitive advantage to improve their school ranking.  

Holiday courses for Years 7 ~ 11 are organized when they are required. They include Mathematics revision and English Essay Writing skills courses.
11. How can I enrol?
1.      Submit your enrolment interests to one of our Service representatives by mail or in person.
-          A complete Enrollment Form
-          A copy of your most recent school report
-          Tuition Fees paid in full
2.      Your timetable will be confirmed by one of our service representative.
12. How will I be informed regarding my child's progress? Do you give us reports?
Student progress is regularly monitored through our work booklets, quizzes and tests. These marks are compiled at the end of each term and a thorough report is sent to all parents. The report includes thorough academic details such as rankings, average marks, and students’ marks. They also contain individualised teachers’ comments.
13. How do I know whether my child is completing their homework?
Matrix collects and marks students’ homework, providing detailed feedback on student assessment. Parents are notified in the event of incomplete or unsatisfactory homework.
14. Are parents informed if their child misses a class?
Yes. Student attendance is strictly monitored. Parents of students who are late to class or are absent are contacted. Please make sure all contact details are updated regularly.
15. Do you provide parent teacher interviews?
Yes, parent teacher interviews are available upon request. The interview may be conducted with the Subject Coordinator. Our service representatives organise the interview times upon request.
16. Do you grade classes?
Our classes are graded and take into account academic and non academic factors. As the NSW Board of Studies syllabus emphasizes deep learning and understanding of content, our classes are graded to create the most effective classroom dynamics and maximize every student’s learning.
17. Do you offer trial classes?

 From time to time Matrix does offer trial classes for selected subjects and modules. If you are interested in attending a Matrix trial class, click here. You will be contacted when the trial classes are running.
