2009 UAI & SCALING TALK
Saturday, 2 May 2009
Matrix is inviting students and parents to attend our talk on UAI & Scaling.
Many students are unaware of the actual scoring or weighting of their subjects that leads to their final UAI (Universities Admission Index) – and that the UAI is not just a way of measuring a student’s academic ability in particular subjects, but is also based on the so-called scaling of different selected subjects.
The UAI & Scaling Talk on 2nd May 2009 is a comprehensive guide for students and parents on UAI calculation, scaling of subjects, and the relationship between aggregate scores and UAI.
Topics covered include:
- What is a UAI?
- How are assessment marks determined for each course?
- How is my UAI calculated?
- Does my subject choice affect my HSC mark and my UAI?
- What is scaling and why is it necessary?
- What is the relationship between aggregates, percentiles & UAIs?
- How can I maximise my UAI?
