Date & Time	Saurday, 17 January, 1.30pm – 4:30pm
Topic	Essay Writing / Poetry analysis
Aim of the course	To equip students with critical writing and analytical skills that will assist them in refining their essay writing and question interpretation skills
Student will learn how to:	1) Effectively structure a formal essay and use textual cohesive devices such as repetition, synonyms and connectives 2) Use critical reading strategies to identify key information 3) Evaluate author’s purpose, audience, attitude and argument 4) Structure argument through coherence / logical organization
Students will receive:	- 3 hours of tuition from our experienced teachers - A sample resource (theory booklet)

Year	Year 10 English
Date & Time	Saurday, 17 January, 9.30am – 12:30pm

Student will Learn to:	1) expand algebraic products 2) recognise and expand special binomial products 3) solve equations involving parentheses and fractions 4) use equations to solve a variety of problems

Topic	Factorisation Techniques; Quadratic Equations & Problem Solving.
Student will Learn to:	1) apply factorisation techniques 2) solve quadratic equations by factorising, completing the square and using the quadratic formula 3) use quadratic equations to solve a variety of problems.
