UMAX is a UAI & ATAR calculator designed and developed by Matrix to help students estimate their UAI & ATAR based on 2008 historical data
(please note: marks and scaling change year to year so the calculator can only provide an estimate of potential results). UMAX provides information regarding HSC Marks (/100), Percentiles (/100) and Scaled Marks (/50) for each subject selected. Students can use the relationships between HSC Marks, Percentiles and Scaled Marks to understand how improvements in certain subjects affect their Aggregate (/500)
and ATAR. If used correctly, this information can help students study smarter, not harder.
The table below shows an example of a 2008 Matrix student's HSC results. The comparison between UAI Actual and UAI estimate calculated is shown at the bottom of the table.
